Angelos Angelou has had a diverse and successful career in economic development and entrepreneurship. Angelos is the Founder and CEO of International Accelerator, a program that provides foreign-born entrepreneurs with the resources and support they need to launch their businesses in the United States. In addition, Angelos is the Founder and Principal Executive Officer of AngelouEconomics, where they have extensive experience in strategic economic development, business planning, corporate site selection, incentives negotiation, and more. Angelos is also an angel investor in several technology startups in Texas. Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Angelos served as the Vice President of Economic Development and Chief Economist for Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, where they recruited over 800 corporations and created an annual economic forecast that was widely attended.
Angelos Angelou began their education journey in 1977 at The University of Texas at San Antonio, where they pursued two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Political Science. Angelos continued their academic pursuits at St. Mary's University from 1979 to 1981, earning a Master's degree with Summa Cum Laude honors. During this time, they focused on Economics and also pursued a minor in Finance. Angelou then enrolled in the Ph.D. program at Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business in 1981, where they completed one and a half years of coursework before concluding their studies. Angelos'sfield of study throughout their educational career has primarily been Economics.
