Lauren Hunt has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of music. Lauren is currently the Director of Brass and Instructor of Horn at the Interlochen Center for the Arts. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Professor of Horn at Utah State University. Lauren has also held positions as a Co-principal horn at the Spoleto Festival USA and Principal Horn at the South Carolina Philharmonic. In addition, Lauren has had the opportunity to perform with many professional orchestras as a Substitute horn player. Lauren has also worked as an Instructional Assistant Professor at Illinois State University and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Yale School of Music. Throughout their career, Lauren has consistently demonstrated their expertise and passion for music.
Lauren Hunt has a diverse education history. Lauren completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business at Utah State University from 2022 to 2025. Prior to that, they obtained a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Horn Performance from the Hugh Hodgson School of Music between 2013 and 2016. Lauren also pursued a Master of Music degree in Horn Performance at Yale - School of Music from 2011 to 2013, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Horn Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music from 2008 to 2011. Lauren participated in the Global Leaders Fellowship Program at the Youth Orchestra of the Americas from 2013 to 2014 and received training from the Suzuki Association of the Americas in 2015. Additionally, Lauren has obtained certifications in sales from Griffin Hill in 2024.
