Kate Hoffman Slavit began their work experience as a Promotions Assistant at Clear Channel Communications in 2003. Kate then worked as an Intern at Universal Pictures and Allied Integrated Marketing before joining Linda Roth Associates, LLC as a Publicist in 2004. In 2006, they became a Senior Publicist at Allied Integrated Marketing. From 2010 to 2018, Kate held various roles at WeddingWire, including Public Relations & Events Manager, Senior Brand Manager, Associate Director of Corporate Communications, and Director of Internal Communications & Talent Brand. In 2019, they joined The Knot Worldwide as the Senior Director of Global Employee Experience. Currently, they are the Chief of Staff and VP, Head of People at Interfolio, starting in 2021 and 2022 respectively.

Kate Hoffman Slavit earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Communications and Cinematic Studies from American University, which they attended from 2000 to 2004. In 2002, they also briefly studied at the American University of Rome. Prior to their college education, Kate attended Council Rock High School North, although the specific dates are not provided.
