Maria Magee

Maria Magee, CFRE, has a wealth of experience in the field of fundraising and development. Maria served as the Chief Development Officer for Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston from 2015 onwards, where they oversaw a budget of over $54 million and led a team of 14 staff members. In this role, they were responsible for various aspects of fundraising, including direct mail, marketing, special events, corporate and foundation giving, individual giving, and donor database management.

Prior to their role at Interfaith Ministries, Maria worked as the Vice President of Fund Development for Northwest Assistance Ministries from 2012 to 2015. Here, they managed a budget of over $10 million and supervised a team of seven staff members. Their responsibilities included direct mail, communications, volunteer management, major gifts, planned giving, and donor database management.

Maria Magee, CFRE, holds an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of St. Thomas (TX), which they obtained from 1994 to 1997. In 2018, they completed a Certificate in the New Strategies Program at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, focused on social enterprise. Maria also obtained a Certificate in Non-Profit Management (with distinction) from Rice University's Leadership Institute for Non-Profit Executives, which they completed from 2008 to 2009. Maria received their undergraduate education at the University of St. Thomas (TX), earning a B.A. in English & Philosophy from 1990 to 1994. In April 2021, Maria obtained the CFRE certification from CFRE International.
