Stuart Kinnear has a diverse work experience. In 2008, they began working as a Climbing Wall Supervisor and Instructor at the Crag X Indoor Climbing Centre. In 2009, they were a Youth Leader at the City of Calgary. From 2010 to 2011, they were a student at UVic and a Student Business Analyst at the City of Calgary's Public Safety Communications. In 2011, they became a Supply Management Analyst at Canadian Natural Resources Limited, where they eventually led the Supply Management Business Intelligence team. In 2014, they started their own business, Stuart Kinnear Photography, where they provided photography services for charities such as Easter Seals Alberta, The Alzheimer's Society of Calgary, and AARCS. In 2016, they co-founded Interface Fluidics, a company that provides accurate, cost-effective, and environmentally-conscious answers through patented reservoir analogues at a much smaller scale than traditional screening methods. In 2017, they became an Advisory Board Member at Calgary Economic Development.
Stuart Kinnear has an educational background that includes a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Victoria, a Bachelor in Music and Orchestral Performance on Tuba from the University of Victoria, and Photography from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). Stuart also holds certifications in Incident Investigation and Prevention from DNV Petroleum Services (obtained in March 2014), Modern Safety Management from DNV Petroleum Services (obtained in December 2013), and H2S Alive from Enform (obtained in March 2012).
