Marcus B. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Marcus currently works at Intercom as a Product Engineer, starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Bundledocs as a Software Engineer from October 2021 to May 2022. From August 2020 to October 2021, Marcus worked at Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation as an Electronic Software Developer, responsible for maintaining and improving the primary IoT system.

Before that, Marcus worked at Version 1, starting as a Junior Business Applications Consultant in January 2015 and transitioning to various roles such as Managed Services Consultant, Business Applications Consultant, and Senior Business Applications Consultant. During their time at Version 1, they developed stand-alone functionality, created automated tests, and provided guidance to junior team members. Marcus also managed CI/CD pipelines and build deployments using Azure DevOps and Docker with Azure Container Services. In addition, Marcus contributed to change management by providing technical estimates and writing change request documents.

Marcus started their career at ECC Ireland Foreign Language Institute Ltd as an English Language Instructor from October 2007 to December 2008. Marcus then worked at Stream Global Services as a Tier 2 Technical Support agent and later as a Customer Support Agent with webchat support. At BSkyB Ireland, Marcus worked as a Customer Service Advisor and was part of the Broadband & Talk Escalations Team.

Marcus B. has a diverse education history. Marcus began their academic journey in 2003 at Maynooth University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with Astrophysics. Marcus successfully completed the program in 2007.

In 2008, Marcus returned to Maynooth University to pursue a Masters in Engineering with a focus on Electronic Engineering. Marcus completed this program in 2009.

In 2014, Marcus decided to enhance their skills in the field of software development and enrolled in Dublin Business School. Marcus obtained a Higher Diploma in ICT Skills with a specialization in Software Development in 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Marcus has obtained several certifications from Microsoft. In 2014, they earned the MTA: Web Development Fundamentals and MTA: Database Fundamentals certifications. Marcus further obtained the MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional certification in August 2014.

In May 2015, Marcus received the MS: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 certification. Marcus continued their certifications in 2018 by obtaining the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer: App Builder certifications from Microsoft.
