Evangelia Tsakiraki has a diverse work experience in the field of pharmacovigilance and pharmaceutical operations. Evangelia currently holds multiple roles, including serving as the EU QPPV for VBI Vaccines Inc. at ProPharma Group and Novavax at the same company. Evangelia is also the Head of PV International Operations at Intercept Pharmaceuticals. In addition, Tsakiraki is the Founder & Managing Director of Pharma Compliance Solutions B.V. and the Interim Global Head of Pharmacovigilance at Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited.
Prior to their current roles, Tsakiraki worked as the EU QPPV at Myokardia Europe B.V., where they were responsible for setting up the Pharmacovigilance and Quality Management System in Europe. Evangelia coordinated pharmacovigilance activities and supported the preparation of Marketing Authorization Applications to the European Medicines Agency.
Before that, they served as the European Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (EU QPPV) at Piramal Critical Care B.V., where they acted as a single point of contact for pharmacovigilance authorities and oversaw the company's pharmacovigilance system. Tsakiraki also worked as the European Pharmacovigilance Director and Manager at Teva Pharmaceutical Europe, where they managed pharmacovigilance operations across multiple countries, recruited and trained local safety officers, and ensured compliance with regulatory requirements.
Earlier in their career, Tsakiraki held roles at Merck KGaA and Merck Serono, where they contributed to various pharmacovigilance projects and supported regional safety management. Evangelia also worked as an Associate Member at the British Quality Association (BARQA).
Overall, Tsakiraki has extensive experience in pharmacovigilance and has held leadership positions in multinational pharmaceutical companies. Evangelia has demonstrated expertise in setting up pharmacovigilance systems, coordinating activities, ensuring compliance, and managing international teams.
Evangelia Tsakiraki obtained a Bachelor's degree in Dentistry from Meditzinski Universitet - Plovdiv, spanning from 1994 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Healthcare Management from the University of Piraeus, from 2008 to 2012. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the GCP Auditor certification from BARQA in October 2008. More recently, in December 2018, they obtained the Eudravigilance XEVMPD USERS & ICSR R3 reporting certification from the European Medicines Agency.
