David Belman has a diverse work experience in the digital and brand industry. David is currently serving as the Executive Director of Brand Experience at Interactive Strategies since 2022. Before that, they founded and served as the CEO of Threespot, a leading digital and brand agency, from 1999. Their responsibilities included digital, business, and brand strategy, new business development, operational and staff management, creative direction, and maintaining relationships with key clients such as McDonald's, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and National Geographic.
David also worked as a Visiting Faculty at Johns Hopkins University from 2010 to 2011. In their earlier career, they held roles as Vice President Creative at Magnet Interactive / AKQA, overseeing the growth and development of a large creative team, and as the Director of Content Development and Corporate Communications, where they established one of the first interactive content departments in the country and managed campaigns for clients like Kellogg's and Haagen-Dazs.
Before that, as an Independent Consultant, David worked as a Writer and Communications Consultant, and also as a Writer for the National Restaurant Association.
David Belman received a BA in Political Theory from Wesleyan University in 1990. David then went on to earn an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Montana between 1992 and 1994.
