Seyone Chithrananda is a dedicated researcher with a strong background in computer science and bioengineering, currently serving as a Visiting Researcher at the Arc Institute, focusing on controllable DNA sequence generation. Seyone’s experience includes a role as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Innovative Genomics Institute, contributing to projects on protein design and RNA engineering, and a Research Intern position at Microsoft Research. Previous internships include machine learning research at Dyno Therapeutics on gene therapy models, computational chemistry and DNA-encoded library projects at Nurix Therapeutics, and cutting-edge machine learning research at the Vector Institute. Seyone was also a developer for the DeepChem Project and interned with integrate.ai, working on machine learning solutions for telecommunications. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Bioengineering at the University of California, Berkeley, Seyone has built a solid foundation in both computational and biological sciences.
