Sergio Talens-Oliag has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sergio started their career in 2002 as an IT Security Consultant at Tissat, working on the InfoCentre project. From 2004 to 2006, they worked as a Computer Science Analyst at T-Systems, focusing on the LliureX Project.
Sergio then joined the Universitat de València and worked as a Part-time University Lecturer from 2004 to 2007. Sergio returned to the university in 2016 as a Part-time Lecturer until 2017, and again in 2018 as a Part-time Lecturer until 2019.
In 2006, Sergio took on managerial roles at the Instituto Tecnológico de Informática, starting as a Manager and progressing to an Area Director. During their tenure, they supervised and coordinated the Systems Administration and Applications Development and Integration teams. Sergio was responsible for setting up and maintaining information systems, managing common use applications and services, and overseeing security tasks.
In 2020, Sergio became an IT Operations Architect at Agile Content, S.A., where they focused on setting up Continuous Integration and Deployment Infrastructures for the AgileTV platform. Sergio also developed tools for simplifying the configuration and deployment of containerized applications.
From 2021 to 2022, they worked as a Software Development Consultant at Curelator Inc., providing consultancy services for software development projects.
In 2022, Sergio joined Kyso as a Senior DevOps Engineer, contributing to the building of the self-hosted version of Kyso and packaging the Kyso application for distribution.
Currently, Sergio is working as a DevOps Engineer at intelygenz, starting in 2023.
Sergio Talens-Oliag has a history of pursuing education in different fields. From 1989 to 1994, they attended Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) where they obtained a Graduate degree in Computer Science. In 1999 to 2000, Sergio returned to UPV to pursue an A. B. D. in Parallel and Distributed Computing. Later, from 2004 to 2010, they attended the University of Valencia to earn an Advanced Studies Diploma (D.E.A.) in Audiovisual Communication.
