Yan Zhao is a highly experienced professional in the field of intellectual property, currently serving as a Senior Patent Examiner at the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) since June 2013, after progressing through roles including Patent Examiner and Associate Patent Examiner since 2012. Prior to joining IPOS, Yan Zhao worked at Siemens Water Technologies Global R&D Center Singapore as a Technology Intelligence and Intellectual Property Specialist from March 2008 to August 2012. Yan Zhao holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore (2004-2008), as well as a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology (2001-2003 and 1997-2001, respectively).
