Marie Moloney has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles.
Marie began their career as an Engine Planning Engineer at FLS Aerospace, where they were responsible for producing cycle sheets for engines in the Aer Lingus fleet.
Marie then worked as a Researcher at Oglesby & Butler (PLC), focusing on improving product efficiency through disassembly and assessment.
At the University of Limerick, they held the positions of Lecturer in Polymer & Metals Processing, where they taught undergraduate engineering students, and completed their PhD study on NiPtAl bulk alloys and diffusion in novel coatings on a third-generation alloy.
Marie then joined Cook Medical as a Research Metallurgist, conducting alloy development for biomedical products.
Following that, Marie worked at Monash University as a Lab Manager/2IC, overseeing the research activities of post-graduate and post-doctorate researchers. Marie also served as a Project Metallurgist for a collaboration project between BHP and Monash University, focusing on designing energy-efficient Cu anodes for SX-EW.
Currently, Marie is a Principal Engineer at Integer Holdings Corporation, where they run validation projects, provides on-site metallurgical support, and offers metallurgical input for R&D projects.
Overall, Marie Moloney has experience in engineering, research, teaching, project management, and metallurgy.
Marie Moloney obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Limerick in 1999-2003. Marie then pursued a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Materials from the same university in 2004-2005. Subsequently, Marie obtained a Ph.D. in Materials Science and another Ph.D. in Metallurgy, both from the University of Limerick in 2005-2010. In 2014, they obtained a certification as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute.
