In their role as a Solar Account Coordinator at Vivint Solar, they were responsible for acquiring and processing data by developing rigorous testing methods and programming test modules in LabView to measure ice loads and temperatures with strain gauges and thermistors. Taylor also did on-site data analysis using MatLab to calculate shear forces. Taylor is currently certified on safety practices for laboratory machinery and is developing an ASTM Standard for Aviation Adhesion Strength Testing under FAR Part 25 Appendix C regulations.

Taylor Knuth has a PhD in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from UCL, a Master of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Penn State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University. Taylor also has a certification from NCEES in Fundamentals of Engineering-EIT.
