Laurent Iltis has extensive experience in law enforcement and security, currently serving as a cadre at TenCate Advanced Armour since June 2018. Previously, Laurent held the position of lieutenant colonel de gendarmerie at the office des stupéfiants in Martinique from August 2017 to June 2018. From August 2013 to August 2017, Laurent was commandant de compagnie at the compagnie de gendarmerie de Vienne-Isère, overseeing a district of 200 gendarmes. Additional roles include serving as a liaison officer and security advisor to the prefect from August 2015 to July 2017, as well as specializing in organized crime within the section de recherches from August 2002 to July 2011. Laurent's educational background includes a degree in criminology from the French National University (1996-1998) and studies in criminal sciences at Paris Assas (2001-2002).
