Rick Rogers is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in data analytics and product management. Currently contracted with National Marine Fisheries at Integrated Statistics, Rick maintains an endangered species database for sea turtles and develops machine learning algorithms for automating data extraction from animal-borne videos. Previous roles include product management positions at Microsoft and Nokia, a technology planning consultancy at Motorola Solutions, and a mobile software architect role at Wind River. Rick's career began at Digital Equipment Corporation, where experiences spanned over two decades in various engineering and marketing roles related to embedded software on PDP and VAX computers, and telecom systems. Educational qualifications include an MS in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Southern Methodist University and a BS in Physics from Texas Tech University.
