Ana Perez has a diverse work experience in the field of laboratory services and healthcare management. Ana currently works as a Laboratory Director at Integrated Regional Laboratories since 2022. Previously, they served as the Director of Laboratory Services at Thaxton Interim Leadership from February 2022 to August 2022. Prior to that, they were a Supervisor at Baptist Health from June 2020 to October 2021. Ana also held positions at University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine as the Director of Quality Assurance and Clinical Programs and Director of Quality from December 2019 to May 2020. Before that, they worked at Tenet Healthcare as a Laboratory Manager and Chemistry Supervisor from August 2018 to December 2019 and January 2016 to August 2018, respectively. Prior to joining Tenet Healthcare, Ana worked as a Laboratory Supervisor at University of Miami from January 2015 to January 2016 and as a Medical Technologist at Patient First from April 2013 to January 2014. Ana also has a military background as a Non-Commissioned Officer at Tripler Army Medical Center from 2000 to 2011 and a Supervisor (Laboratory) at Schofield Barracks Army Health Clinic from April 2008 to January 2010.
Ana Perez completed their education in the field of Information Technology Project Management. From 2012 to 2014, they attended the University of Maryland Global Campus and received a Master of Science (M.S.) degree. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2011, Ana studied Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist at Thomas Edison State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree.
In addition to their degrees, Ana Perez also obtained two certifications. In September 2017, they achieved a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the Six Sigma Global Institute. In July 2014, Ana obtained an MLS certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
