Ron Hume has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Ron started their career in 2000 as a Senior Consulting Software Engineer at NetSpeak Corporation, where they contributed to the development of web dialers and carrier-grade telephony solutions.
In 2001, they founded Hume Consulting and served as the Chief Technology Officer and Principal Consultant, providing technology and management consulting services to Fortune 500 clients in the telecommunications and VoIP industry.
From 2003 to 2007, Ron worked as a Software Engineer at OpenPeak, a startup specializing in consumer electronics and home automation solutions. Ron was involved in the design and development of innovative hardware and embedded solutions.
In 2007, they established Irrational Software LLC, a hardware and software design consultancy for embedded devices and communications systems. Ron led the company as the Chief Technology Officer and Managing Director, working on contracts with undisclosed Fortune 500 technology companies.
Ron joined Cequint, Inc. in 2009 as a Vice President of Network Engineering and later took on the roles of Vice President of Engineering, Chief Network Officer, and ultimately Chief Technology Officer. Ron was responsible for the implementation of innovative product lines and initiatives, including the highly successful mobile app, CityID. Ron also participated in the acquisition of Cequint by Siris Capital.
In 2016, Ron became the Chief Technology Officer and Board Member at Aero-Pioneer Group, an aviation logistics company serving the United Nations, NGOs, and governmental organizations. Ron led the technology team in implementing INFOSEC for operations across various countries and dealt with advanced capabilities of state and non-state actors.
In 2019, they joined L3Harris Technologies as a Senior Specialist Software Engineering, contributing their expertise in software development. Ron also founded Insurate in the same year, serving as the founder and focusing on the development of the startup.
Currently, Ron is serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Blue Sky Network, a leading provider of fleet management and operational analytics solutions. Ron is responsible for deploying satellite-based communication solutions to help customers track and manage their assets in real-time worldwide.

- From 2017 to 2019, Ron attended Rochester Institute of Technology and obtained an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity.
