Ricardo Fabian Siachoque Bernal currently serves as Subdirector de Agrologia at Instituto Geografico Agustin Codazzi since October 2022. Prior to this role, Ricardo held the position of Profesional Especializado at Unidad de Planificación Rural Agropecuaria-UPRA from 2014 to October 2022, where leadership was demonstrated in the zonification of agricultural suitability for commercial crops related to public policy for the Ministry of Agriculture. Earlier experience includes coordinating soil surveys in Colombia between June 2009 and February 2014 at Instituto Geografico Agustin Codazzi, along with involvement in the Corine Land Cover methodology and land use conflict projects. Educational qualifications include a degree in Agrologia from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, further training in remote sensing from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, a specialization in Geographic Information Systems from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, and a specialization in soil and water management from Centro Internacional Egipcio para la Agricultura.
