Pedro Silva has a diverse work experience in the field of technology transfer and commercialization. Pedro currently serves as the Technology Transfer Director at the Instituto de Medicina Molecular. Pedro is also the President of the Board of Directors at CoLAB AccelBio. Pedro has previously worked as an Independent Expert for the European Commission, where they served as an evaluator, reviewer, and rapporteur. Pedro has also held various roles at TecMinho, including Science & Technology Commercialisation Coordinator and Technology Transfer and Industry Liaison Officer. Pedro has gained international experience as a visiting business development associate at Emergent Technologies, Inc. and as a visiting tech transfer officer at the UT Austin Office of Technology Commercialization. Pedro has also served as an IRC Officer at IRC Portugal. Additionally, Pedro has been actively involved in the European Technology Platform for Nanomedicine (ETPN Association), where they served as a member of the Executive Board and Chair of the Working Group Business Opportunities.
Pedro Silva completed their Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Lisbon between 1997 and 2001. Pedro then pursued a post-graduate degree in European Studies at the Universidade de Coimbra from 2001 to 2002.
