Maria de los Angeles Miccono is currently a PhD Candidate at the University of California, Davis, since August 2019, and has been serving as an I&D Research Assistant at UC Davis Chile since January 2019. With over a decade of experience, Maria has worked at INIA, CRI La Platina as a Junior Researcher in the Biotechnology Lab, focusing on plant genetic transformation, plant molecular biology, plant-pathogen molecular interactions, and CRISPR-Cas9 technology in plants. Maria’s foundational education includes a degree in Biochemistry with a specialization in Plant Molecular Biology from Universidad de Santiago de Chile, completed in 2008.
