Scottie Ammons is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the nuclear power sector. Currently serving as a Senior Evaluator in Engineering at the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations since January 2023, Scottie has developed a robust career at Southern Nuclear from April 2007 to January 2023 in various roles, including Engineering CMO Manager, Engineering Supervisor, Lead Auditor and Lead Assessor, and Turbine Project Manager. Prior to this, Scottie held multiple engineering management positions at Southern Company from October 2018 to January 2023, and managed plant operations at Harsco Corporation from January 2005 to February 2007. Scottie's career began at Southern Nuclear in April 1991, accumulating experience as a Senior Design Engineer, Senior Maintenance Engineer, and Senior System Engineer. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia Southern University.
