Rich Friedberg is a seasoned information security professional with extensive leadership experience, currently serving as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Live Oak Bank since November 2021. In addition to this role, Friedberg is an investor at SVCI - Silicon Valley CISO Investments, an adjunct faculty member in the CISO Certificate Program at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College, and an investor at AKA Identity. Friedberg contributes to the Ransomware Task Force at the Institute for Security and Technology and engages in research and industry collaboration at Security Tinkerers. Previous positions include advisory board member at ReliaQuest and CISO roles at Blackbaud and Capital One. Friedberg holds an MBA from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Information and Decision Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University.
