Bent Thomassen is an experienced engineer specializing in solar energy at the Institute for Energy Technology since September 2008. Thomassen has also held an engineering position at IFE since the same year and previously worked as an engineer at Nedre Romerike Avløpsselskap IKS from August 1993 to September 2008. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Process Automation from the University of South-Eastern Norway, attained between 1990 and 1992, and a Bachelor's degree in Cybernetics from Oslo and Akershus University College, completed between 1986 and 1989.
