Maya Shumilova-Santos, LMHC, is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as a Mental Health Counselor at ICL since July 2020, following their role as a Mental Health Counseling Intern at the same organization in 2018. Previously, Maya worked as a Research Assistant at St. Luke's Hospital, where responsibilities included data management and patient record maintenance. Additional experience includes serving as a Public Safety Officer at John Jay College, where supervision and training of new officers were key duties, and previous administrative roles at The First Words SLP, PC, and Birch Family Services, INC. Maya holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College (CUNY).
