Julie A. Davis

Julie is a co-founder of IAA and has worked as a staff member of the organization. In her active role at IAA, Julie was deeply dedicated to the success of each student with whom she worked. Julie has taken a less active role in the day-to-day operations so she can pursue her career as an artist. She remains committed to IAA's success by continuing her service as a Board member.

Julie is a seventh-generation Vermonter born in Barre, Vermont. She attended the University of Vermont and graduated with a Master's in Public Administration. After three decades of working in government, media and politics, she is now also working as a full-time artist. Largely self-taught, Julie has been influenced by artists all over the world during her frequent residencies at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, and the Fine Art Works Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Julie has been active in a number of art associations and is currently on the Board of the Bryan Gallery in Jeffersonville. In addition to her artist's eye that enables her to see a situation from multiple perspectives, Julie's experience working in government has been instrumental in the development of IAA.
