Jordi Pons Otalora is an experienced professional specializing in environmental communication, meteorology, and avalanche prediction. Currently serving as Tècnic de Predicció d'Allaus at the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya since November 2018, Jordi analyzes nivometeorological data and terrain to produce avalanche forecasts and cartography. Prior experience includes work as Vídeoperiodista del Cos de Bombers at Generalitat de Catalunya, where video production and communication with the media were key responsibilities. Jordi has held various roles focused on environmental journalism, including periods as a journalist and blogger at LAMALLA.CAT and the Xarxa de Televisions Locals de Catalunya. With a Master's degree in Applied Climatology from the Universidad de Barcelona and expertise in audiovisual editing, Jordi combines skills in meteorology and communication to contribute to public awareness and safety regarding environmental risks.
