Kamila Karimjee has been working in the field of data science since 2018. Kamila began their career at Instinct Science as a Junior Data Scientist and Hospital Data Specialist. In 2018, they also began their Doctoral Researcher role at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. Additionally, they held a Public Health Data Evaluation Intern role at the ARIEL GLASER PEDIATRIC AIDS HEALTHCARE INITIATIVE (AGPAHI) in 2018, where they conducted a study to identify trends in anonymised data associated with patients that are lost to follow-up (LTFU) and used the analysis to predict potential risk factors. In 2017, they held a Summer Research Student role at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, where they investigated the impact of specific learning differences on students' exam performances and students' perceptions of the different exam formats used at the college.
Kamila Karimjee has a diverse educational background. From 2007 to 2014, they attended The Leys School and obtained A Levels in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Latin. From 2015 to 2017, they attended the Royal Veterinary College, U. of London, where they earned a BVetMed (Years 1 & 2) in Pre-clinical Veterinary Medicine. In 2017, they completed a BSc in Medical Sciences with Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Comparative Biomechanics at the Royal Veterinary College, U. of London, which they are expected to complete in 2022. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Skills for Inclusive Conversations from LinkedIn in July 2020, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning and Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization from Coursera.
