Pauline Lemasson

Membership & Partnerships Director at INSPIRELLE

Born and raised on Guam, Pauline pursued a double BA in Sociology and English in Texas where she met a French engineering exchange student. After graduation, she spent two years in Cambodia fulfilling an USAID project on teacher education. She later married the French student and settled for 10 years in Los Angeles, where she completed a MA and PhD at UCLA, and was appointed Executive Director of the Chinese American Museum. Starting a family compelled Pauline to give her two children a French cultural experience, which meant leaving her extended family and community to move to Paris in 2011.

Since moving to Paris, she was the Strategic Partnerships Manager at the American Library in Paris, while also writing on culture, history, and community for INSPIRELLE. She is also Development Chairperson for AAWE, and is keen on building partnerships and connections for the international community in Paris. On off days, you will likely find her in a café with a library book, notebook, and pen.
