Jan Michael Austria is a highly skilled data engineer and scientist with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently employed as a Senior Data Engineer at Genentech since May 2021, Jan's prior roles include Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science, Data Engineer at Claremont McKenna College, and Data Science Consultant for Cognia and Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. With a solid foundation in biochemistry and molecular biology, Jan has also held positions at Pfizer, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Columbia University Medical Center, leveraging analytical techniques and data engineering to develop algorithms and enhance manufacturing processes. Jan is pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at Rice University, following a Master's degree in Analytics and Data Science from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor's degree from Cornell University.
