Joey Steinbach has had a varied work experience since 2011. Joey began their career as a Resident Assistant at Bethany Lutheran College, where they also served as a Set Production Assistant and Stage Manager. In 2014, they began working as a Model for BuyFun.com, a Barista for Caribou Coffee, a DJ/MC for Elegant Affairs, and a Tank Commander for Drive a Tank USA. In 2016, they took on the role of Studio Assistant at JJJaspersen Studios. In 2017, they became a Web Developer at Metro First Call and a Kiln Master at Grey Fox Pottery, specializing in kiln operation and maintenance. Most recently, they have been working as a Lead Beertender at Insight Brewing Company since 2018.

Joey Steinbach obtained a High School degree from Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School between 2006 and 2010. Joey then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Fine and Studio Arts from Bethany Lutheran College between 2010 and 2014. In 2015, they completed a Mini Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business. Joey also has a certification in First Aid from the Red Cross.
