Marco van de Werken has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the insurance and analytics industry. Marco is currently working at InShared as a Pricing Actuaris. Previously, they worked at Nationale-Nederlanden as a Senior Actuary, where they held this position from August 2015 to November 2022. Before that, they were an Actuary at the same company from January 2012 to August 2015. Prior to their tenure at Nationale-Nederlanden, Marco worked at ING / Nationale Nederlanden as a Sr Actuarial Analyst from January 2010 to January 2012. Marco also gained experience at ING as a Product Intelligence Analyst from February 2007 to January 2010. Additionally, Marco worked at IMS Health as a Quality Assurance Manager from September 2004 to January 2007. Marco began their career with an internship at Hero, where they focused on optimizing production planning and studying promotion effectivity in consumer and retail data.

Marco van de Werken obtained a MSc degree in Economics (with a specialization in Marketing) from Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they studied from 1999 to 2004. Prior to that, they attended TIAS School for Business and Society from 2011 to 2013, earning an Executive Master of Actuarial Science (EMAS) degree. In 2010 and 2011, Marco pursued a transition program in Actuariaat at the Actuarieel Instituut.
