Serena Ivaldi is a Senior Research Scientist at Inria, specializing in human-robot interaction and robot learning and control across various robotic platforms since November 2014. Additionally, Serena serves as Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Social Robotics at Springer Nature Technology and Publishing Solutions, and as an Adjunct Professor at Universite de Lorraine, teaching a course on the Analysis of Human Behavior. Serena's experience includes a visiting researcher role at the European Space Agency's Human-Robot Interaction lab in 2023 and previous post-doctoral positions at Technische Universität Darmstadt and Pierre and Marie Curie University, focusing on robot learning and humanoid robotics. Serena holds a PhD in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from IIT - Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia and an MS in Computer Science Engineering from Università degli Studi di Genova.
