Frank Bistervels has had a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Frank is currently the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at inPhocal, starting in October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at HighTechXL as a Venture starter, coach, and mentor, starting in March 2022.

From 2018 to 2021, Frank was the CEO of Intellectual Property and Head of IP Licensing at Signify (formerly Philips Lighting). Before that, they held the position of Vice President and Senior Director of IP Licensing at Signify/Philips Intellectual Property & Standards from 2008 to 2018.

Frank's earlier work experience includes being the Senior Director of Technology Licensing at Philips Intellectual Property & Standards from 2004 to 2007, and the Business Manager and CEO at Philips High Tech Plastics from 1997 to 2004.

Frank started their career in 1987 at Optical Disc Manufacturing Equipment (ODME), later joining Philips DuPont Optical (PDO), where they held various management positions in the field of optical media. Their responsibilities included functional and department management, focusing on growth, market share, and bridging technology and marketing. Frank remained with the company until December 1996.

Frank Bistervels pursued their education at the Eindhoven University of Technology, from 1982 to 1987. During this time, they completed their master's degree, earning a Chem. Ir. (Master) in Chemical Engineering.
