Julie Settipani has a varied work experience. Julie began their career in 2012 as a Junior Researcher at Cranfield University, where they studied Molecular Imprinted Polymer (MIP) inhibition properties on trypsin and supervised 6 students during a project on computational modelling. In 2013, they took on roles as a Researcher in Biotechnology - PhD student, Computational Biochemist, and Computational Biochemist - Internship at Unilever, where they developed an understanding of in-silico modelling for receptor binding, conducted a comparison study of docking software performances, and gained an understanding of the Adverse Outcome Pathway concept and 21st century toxicology challenges. In 2019, they joined Cosmo Tech as a Senior Engineering Consultant and Engineering Consultant, where they led workshops to express clients' needs, developed high impacts use cases based on clients' main challenges, formulated and wrote the technical part of commercial offers, designed and produced product powerful and meaningful demonstrations for the targeted market, followed up on projects as responsible for clients' satisfaction, and extracted and showcased project's results, ROI of software uses, and values of solutions. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Product Manager at Inova.
Julie Settipani attended Lycée Saint Louis from 2008 to 2010, where they completed a Classe préparatoire. Julie then attended IMT Mines Albi from 2010 to 2013 where they earned their Master of Engineering (MEng) in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Finally, they attended the University of Leicester from 2014 to 2018 where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biotechnology.
