Sergio Valentim is a skilled Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in developing and integrating advanced models for industrial quality control systems at INOV since March 2022. Key accomplishments include designing custom ML architectures, optimizing models for specific hardware, and managing the entire model lifecycle. Prior to this role, Sergio served as a Machine Learning Researcher at ISTAR-Iscte, focusing on Siamese Neural Networks for firearm identification, with research presented at key conferences and events. Earlier experience includes teaching programming to children at Happy Code Portugal. Sergio holds a master's degree in Computer Engineering and a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications and Computer Engineering from Iscte - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa.
