Gerry Vermeulen has a long and varied work experience. Gerry began in 1992 as a Lieutenant 3rd class special services at the Royal Dutch Navy (Koninklijke Marine), Naval Airbase "De Kooi", Den Helder. In 1993, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Philips Consumer Electronics - Connected Displays, where they worked on the specification and implementation in Tcl/Expect of factory installation and test application, and the specification and implementation in Visual Basic of an automated remote control based test application. Gerry was also the Project Manager and Software Architect of a new business project involving remote management of Entertaibles and a new business project involving Internet services combined with Video services for CE devices. In 2007, they became the Lead Architect Net TV at Philips Consumer Lifestyle - BUTV. In 2010, they were a Senior Scientist at Philips Consumer Lifestyle - iLab, and in 2011 they became the Lead Architect Smart TV at Philips Consumer Lifestyle - BGTV. In 2012, they were the Architect at Lighting Fundamentals, the CTO at Innr Lighting, and the Lead Architect Smart TV at TP Vision. Gerry also had a role as Language Partner at SuperSaaS Español, where they were responsible for translations, customer support, and marketing of the Spanish version of SuperSaaS. Finally, they were the Owner at ArqIT.
Gerry Vermeulen completed their secondary education at St. Willibrord Gymnasium from 1980 to 1986. Gerry then attended Eindhoven University of Technology, where they earned an Ir. (MSc) in Technical Informatics from 1986 to 1992.
