Ashleigh Lamma has a diverse background in strategic communications and editing. Ashleigh is currently working as a Senior Strategic Communications Specialist at IMTS, where they develop and leads communication plans for cybersecurity programs. Prior to this, Ashleigh worked as a Communications Analyst at Cyber Defense Solutions, LLC, where they coordinated communication materials and contributed to the development of government cyber policy documents. Ashleigh also gained experience as a Project Officer/Senior Editor at the National Guard Bureau, where they edited and wrote technical documents. Earlier in their career, Ashleigh worked as a Program Analyst at Virginia Tech Applied Research Corporation, where they served as a lead technical editor and also gained experience in branding materials. As an intern at the same company, they worked in the Admin/Basic Research Innovation Collaboration Center.
Ashleigh Lamma pursued their education starting in 2006 when they attended Christopher Newport University. Ashleigh completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English (Writing) and Sociology (Research Methods) in 2010.
After obtaining their bachelor's degree, Ashleigh went on to further their education at George Mason University. From 2016 to 2019, they worked towards earning their Master's Degree in Sociology with a focus on Human Rights and Human Trafficking.
