M. Leigh Bender, CISSP, PMP, ITIL v3, SAFe ASE has over 20 years of experience in the field of technology and project management. Before their time at CSRA Inc, Bender worked at Booz Allen Hamilton, where they held various positions, including Program Manager/Senior Associate, Program Manager/Lead Associate, IT Project Manager and Team Lead/Lead Associate, Lead Cyber Exercise Planner/Associate, and Model & Simulations Team Lead/Associate. In these roles, they led market efforts in the Hawaii/Alaska Army market, managed IT and operations teams, and supported the planning of large-scale training events, among other responsibilities.

Earlier in Bender's career, they worked at CSC as an Electrical Engineer, supporting Headquarters Pacific Air Forces (HQPACAF) Command Center in engineering and network support roles. M. Leigh also worked at Statcom, Inc as an Electronics Engineer, troubleshooting internetwork connections and designing interfaces for Search and Rescue (SAR) teams. Additionally, they worked at Fleet Support Center (Analysis & Technology, Inc) as an Electrical Engineer, performing Digital Design engineering for the AN/SLQ-25A Torpedo Defense System. And finally, they worked at Applied Quality Communications as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
