Jorge Payan Almanza is an accomplished researcher with a strong background in agricultural biotechnology and horticulture. Currently serving as an Investigador asociado at Innovak Global since April 2023, Jorge focuses on generating new knowledge regarding active ingredients and modes of action of developing products, utilizing molecular biology tools and bioinformatics for agricultural microbiome evaluation. Previously, Jorge has contributed to various projects, including monitoring mycorrhizal treatments in agave cultivation at CIATEJ and assessing biological products in greenhouse conditions while maintaining pest species at Innovak Global. Jorge holds a Master's degree in Biotechnology Innovation Sciences from Centro de Investigación y Asistencia en Tecnología y Diseño del Estado de Jalisco A.C, a degree in Horticultural Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, and has completed a student mobility program in Agronomic Engineering at Universidad Autónoma Chapingo.
