Michelle Higgins has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michelle has worked in various roles, starting as a Technical Support Engineer at GE Fanuc Automation where they provided support for factory machine control software. Michelle later became a Technical Lead and Application Engineer, responsible for designing and implementing software control systems.
Michelle then joined Keane, Inc as a Senior Consultant, working on projects for GE Power Systems. Michelle analyzed and rewrote FORTRAN and COBOL programs and also worked with the Monitoring and Diagnostics group.
Following this, Michelle worked at Genesys Consulting Services as a Technical Consultant for client GE. Their responsibilities included implementing a web interface for a customer relations management system and developing remote monitoring and diagnostics software.
Michelle later became the Lead Developer at ProVox Technologies, a startup that produced voice recognition software for the medical industry. Michelle designed and wrote the code for the first version of the software and managed subsequent versions with a team of developers.
After a few years, Michelle co-founded SoftwareIdeas.com and worked as a Software Consultant. Michelle worked on porting the Clarify CRM web interface to GE Capital IT Solutions and expanded its capabilities.
Michelle also worked as a Stay at Home Mom during which they continued to work on technical projects and authored a website.
Michelle later joined Harmonia Holdings Group, LLC as a Solution Architect for projects sponsored by the USDA and Navy/NAVSUP. Michelle led efforts to re-orchestrate architecture for better project handling.
More recently, Michelle worked at CaptiveAire Systems as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on modernizing a legacy web application.
Currently, Michelle is a Senior Software Engineer at Inmar Intelligence, where they work as a full-stack developer. Michelle utilizes big data analytics to help customers manage and gain insights into their promotional campaigns. Michelle has experience with technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Python, and is skilled in migrating code to Google Cloud Platform.
Throughout their career, Michelle has demonstrated their expertise in software development, technical leadership, solution architecture, and project management.
Michelle Higgins earned their B.A. in Physics with Honors and Departmental Distinction from Hartwick College in 1993. Michelle then pursued their B.S. in Computer Science with Honors at SUNY Oneonta, completing their degree in 1996.
