Roisin O'Callaghan has extensive experience in fisheries management and environmental assessment, currently serving as a Fisheries Environmental Officer at Inland Fisheries Ireland since October 2015. Previously, Roisin held roles as a Fisheries Assistant working on The Water Framework Directive and as a Fisheries Technician, where responsibilities included conducting netting surveys, electrofishing, and lab analysis related to the European Water Framework Directive. Roisin's academic background includes a Master's degree in Marine Ecology from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Marine Sciences from the University of Galway, a Diploma in Applied Aquatic Science, and a Certificate in Aquaculture, all contributing to a strong foundation in aquatic sciences and marine ecosystems.
