John Lawrence is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Head of Communications at Inland Fisheries Ireland since March 2023. Prior to this role, John held the position of Communications Manager for the Department of Public Expenditure NDP Delivery & Reform, focusing on Irish Public Service innovation from August 2021 to March 2023. John's prior experience includes a tenure as Senior Communications Officer at Tusla - Child and Family Agency and as a Political Communications and Policy Specialist for the Houses of the Oireachtas. With a foundation in journalism, John began as a Staff Journalist at Mediahuis IRL and later worked at The Irish Times as a Newsroom Journalist. From January 2009 to May 2018, John was the Head of Journalism and a Lecturer at Dublin Business School. John holds degrees from Dublin City University, obtained between 1998 and 2017.
