Alejandra Cancino is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in investigative and business reporting. Currently serving as a Senior Reporter at Injustice Watch since April 2023, Cancino previously held the position of Deputy Editor at City Bureau, where oversight of the editorial team and a fellowship program for emerging reporters was a key responsibility. During a tenure at the Better Government Association, significant investigations into local government practices garnered multiple local and national awards. Earlier work includes a Journalism Fellowship at NORC at the University of Chicago and a role as a Business Reporter at the Chicago Tribune, covering various economic and labor issues. Additional experience encompasses multimedia reporting and editorial leadership roles at The Palm Beach Post and The Independent Florida Alligator. Cancino holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Florida.
