Marielle Versteegen is an experienced professional in the field of risk management and compliance, currently serving as the ING Global Head Data Protection Compliance and Bank DPO since November 2014. In this role, Marielle oversees risk management related to disruptive innovation and fintech investments. Prior experience at ING includes positions such as Manager of Operational Risk Management within the Challenger and Growth Countries division and Manager at ING Corporate Operational Risk Management Business Support. Marielle holds a Postdoc in Corporate Compliance and Corporate Governance from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam.
