Andreea Borlestean has over 30 years of experience in various roles in the field of payroll and benefits services. Andreea began their career in 1992 at the National Bank of Canada as a Payroll Account Representative. Andreea then worked at Ceridian as a Payroll Account Representative before joining Brookfield LePage Johnson Controls Facility Management Services Ltd as a Compensation Officer. At Laura Secord, they served as a Sr. Supervisor HR, Payroll & Benefits in the Human Resources department.
Andreea's career continued to progress as they joined SNC-Lavalin, where they held multiple positions including Payroll Supervisor, Manager of HRIS Systems & Data, and eventually, Director of Payroll and Benefits Services. Andreea was responsible for managing payroll, benefits, and HRIS databases for thousands of employees across Canada and overseas.
Following their time at SNC-Lavalin, Andreea transitioned to FirstOnSite Restoration Limited as the Director of Payroll & Benefits Services. In this role, they managed payroll and benefits processes for up to 5,000 employees, both unionized and non-unionized.
Currently, Andreea is employed at Infrastructure Ontario as the Vice President of Total Rewards. In this position, they lead a team of 5 direct reports and oversees activities related to payroll, benefits, pension, and HRIS. Andreea is responsible for managing total rewards responsibilities and ensuring compliance with government regulations.
Throughout their career, Andreea has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of payroll, benefits, and HRIS systems. Andreea has effectively managed teams, implemented process improvements, and ensured compliance with policies and regulations.
Andreea Borlestean earned their Master of Science qualification of engineer from the Universitatea Tehnică de Construcții București, Faculty of Hydrotechnics, from 1983 to 1988. Andreea then pursued a Graduate Degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Concordia University from 1994 to 1997. Finally, they obtained the certification of Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) from the Canadian Payroll Association, focusing on Payroll, from 1996 to 1999.
