Atle Skjekkeland has a diverse work experience spanning various leadership roles in the technology and information management sectors. Atle co-founded Optimila, an information management consulting and training company, and later worked as a Partner there. Atle also served as the General Secretary for the DLM Forum, where they played a vital role in securing funding and developing the Moreq2 standard in Europe. At AIIM International, they held multiple positions, including Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Vice President, and Managing Director - AIIM Europe. During their tenure, they introduced various initiatives and programs, such as the AIIM Certificate Programs. Skjekkeland has also held positions at Infotechtion, The Digital Value Institute, and STIFTELSEN ASTA.

Atle Skjekkeland obtained their MSc in Business Strategy & Marketing from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) from 1992 to 1996. Atle also holds additional certifications, including a Certified Information Professional from AIIM obtained in 2019 and an Inbound Certification from HubSpot obtained in April 2016.
