Rob Atkinson is the President of the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation since March 2006. Prior to this, Rob served as Vice President at the Progressive Policy Institute from 1997 to 2006 and as President of the Rhode Island Economic Policy Council from January 1996 to September 1997. Rob also held a position as Project Director at the Office of Technology Assessment from 1989 to 1995. Atkinson earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon, and a BA in Sociology from New College.
