Akhil Vij is a Principal Software Engineer at Informatica since October 2018, specializing as a Principal UI engineer on the Design System utilizing React and TypeScript. Akhil has led company-wide initiatives to enhance UI accessibility, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2 standards. Previously, as the Lead Software Developer, Akhil was instrumental in establishing the front-end design system and building a talented team to achieve UI consistency across products within six months. Akhil's career at Informatica began in July 2013 as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on UI and data visualization, and earlier as a Software Engineer, contributing to full-stack development. Akhil holds a B.Tech (honors) and MS by Research in Computer Science from the International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIITH).
