Ethan Buchman has a diverse background in various technology roles. Ethan currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Informal Systems, a position they have held since January 2020. Prior to that, they were associated with Interchain Foundation from 2017 to 2020, where they held the roles of Vice President and Technical Director.

In 2014, Ethan was the Chief at CoinCulture CryptoConsulting, and from 2016 to 2019, they co-founded and served as the Chief Technology Officer at Tendermint. Earlier in their career, Ethan was a Master's Student at the University of Guelph from 2013 to 2016, focusing on areas such as Machine Learning, Statistical Inference, Dynamical Systems Theory, Neuroscience, and Byzantine Fault Tolerance. Before that, they worked as a Research Scientist at the University of Guelph from 2011 to 2013.

Additionally, Ethan has experience as a Core Developer (Blockchains) at Eris Industries from 2014 to 2016 and as a Research Scientist at UCSF in 2013.

Ethan Buchman completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Bad Ass Biophysics from the University of Guelph between 2010 and 2013.
