Hosea Akam has worked in a variety of roles across multiple companies. In 2012, they started as a Reservoir Engineer at Encana Corporation. Hosea then moved to Schlumberger in 2015, where they served as a DevOps Engineer and a Linux System Administrator. In 2022, they began working as a Technical Support Engineer at InfluxData.

Hosea Akam's education history includes a Master of Science (MSc) in Reservoir Engineering from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, which they completed between 2008 and 2010. Hosea also has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, which they completed between 2000 and 2006. Hosea also has a certification from RHCSA.
